Debt
2006 02 12
…and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors…
The debt that we owe is forgiveness. I owe others forgiveness. Yes, those that have done me wrong, I am commanded to forgive them as My Lord has forgiven me. I have that right… I have that privilege…I have that command!
For any un-forgiveness that I have within my heart, I will be taken into a trial of my own, to be shown, that I am no stronger than my debtor. To show me that I am just as capable of failing, as others have failed me.
My commandment is to love others as You have loved me, and Your Love is unconditional. The Love that You have for me is continually…
continually…continually…forgiving! Otherwise, without Your Forgiveness I would drift into outer darkness and never again be able to enter Your Presence!
Is this what I want for others…others that have failed me…others that have not lived up to my expectations…my expectations…my expectations…
As if my judgment, was equal to, The Judgment of The Almighty!
As if I could see into the hearts of others and judge their intent!
Yes, my debt is heavy, and I was not created to carry such a burden. Why is it so difficult for us to just obey You?
… and forgive us our debts…as…as…as…as we forgive our debtors…
We are commanded to give forgiveness as You Give Your Forgiveness…
That is, if we want to be forgiven.
But Father, am I capable of giving Your Type of Forgiveness to others? You told me once that I could never give what I did not possess. I have received Your Forgiveness, now can that be given away in the same manner?
I wish to be filled with Your Forgiveness. Baptize me, My Father, In Your Great Love, so that I may Give Of You. Fill my cup Lord, to overflowing so that, others may feel Your Love and Forgiveness. Fill my baskets to overflowing, break and bless the desires of my heart until they multiply, like the loaves and fishes, fill my baskets to overflowing and feed the five thousand with twelve baskets remaining…
That is Your Heart…not to send them home, but to feed them. That’s all our humanity can conceive…just send them on their way…we are tired now…we can’t possibly feed all of these…Father, just send them home!
But yet Your Heart cries out for them, that they not be sent away hungry.
Paul found out…he knew, that when he was tired, that when he couldn’t stand it any more, that more was going to be required of him…
More than he could possibly give…so that when he was tired…so that when he was weak…
Only then would he…only then could he, become strong..
Strong in The Love of His God…Only when there was nothing left of Paul…only when Paul finally said “I can’t do this any more…I can’t do this…I can’t…
Only then…Only then
Only then will The Love of God come in…
Only when we are completely through…
Only when we have completely surrendered…
Only then…
I am incapable of forgiving the debts of another. There is only One who can forgive. But that, Only One, lives inside of me…That Only One…Forgiveness Himself…lives inside of me…and that is All that He Lives to do
…Forgive us our debts…
