 The Difference between the Old and New Covenant is that the Old Covenant left no provision for the mercy of God.

 The same is true today. If it is your choice to follow the law of death, that is your choice; however...

Adam was instructed not to eat of that tree or he would die

And he did 

The same choice is given to you today

If you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you will die

Just as Adam died 

You will die

The law held the sentence of death

Yet the Mercy Of God came to earth to deliver  the ones of us who were

caught in the very act of our sin 

The ones of us that were brought to His Feet For His Judgement

 And Mercy Says, "I do not condemn you, Go and Sin No More."
