Two Trees
9-27-02
| And the Lord God commanded the man saying, "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Genesis 2:16.17 |
Man had no need of the knowledge of good and evil.
That should have been left up to God:
He alone is the ONLY JUDGE.
There never would have been such a thing as 'the sin of man'
had we never tasted the 'forbidden fruit.'
There never would have been a need for the tablets of Moses.
There would have been no need for the ten commandments
or the six hundred plus commandments...
There would have been no law because there would have been no sin.

The serpent was correct. However...
Man did not need to be as gods:
Only a god need know his own law as long as his children are obedient!
Father's precious new creation was not meant to carry the burden of such knowledge.
His Father wanted to carry all of his burdens for him. His brand new world was created for the pleasure of His Children. Their life was meant to be one of joy as they lived in
His Oneness............His Heart........
But NO:
Man couldn't do that
HE wanted to be a god,
HE wanted the knowledge so that HE could decide for himself
what was good for him.
And HE did
With his life a miserable struggle
Day by Day dragging the burden around behind him
Of what to do
Of what was right and what was wrong.
Why couldn't we have just loved Our Father and Followed Him?
EVEN TODAY! What do we do!
Thousands of years later.
Two Thousand years after the resurrection of HIS SALVATION!
WE STILL want to be our own god..................so
With our lives a miserable struggle
Day by Day we drag around the same burden of what to do,
Of what is right and what is wrong.
EVEN WHEN HE SAID " and follow Me..."
How simple, how peaceful, how loving........
"Come, meet me in the garden, in the cool of the day
I want to walk with you, I want to talk with you,
I want to love you.
That burden was meant to be mine;
It's too heavy for you,
It will take your life."
"I WANT YOU TO LIVE!" "PLEASE UNDERSTAND!" "PLEASE FOLLOW ME!"|
